We want thank John Thompson for his numerous years of exceptional service on the UCTNA Board of Directors and UCT Board of Governors. His vision and steady guidance have pushed our organization forward on a successful path. His dedication to UCTNA and its members is truly inspiring and his absence will be felt long after his retirement.

He is currently a member of the region’s executive committee.
On the international level, he is a past president of the International Secretary-Treasurers’ Association. John is a veteran of the United States Army. Professionally, he has worked as a carpenter and in maintenance. He is retired from the Reynoldsburg City Schools Maintenance Department.
In addition to his community service with UCT, John is a 48-year member and past president of the Summit Station Lions Club where he has twice received the Lion of the Year Award. He has also received the Melvin Jones Fellow Award, and he is active in the Summit Station United Methodist Church.
It is hard to imagine our board meetings without his insightful questions and passionate advocacy. Thank you for always going the extra mile and for making our organization better every day. We will miss his wisdom, but we are thrilled for him to enjoy his next chapter.
Happy retirement John!
